Balto was a heroic sled dog who led the final leg of the 1925 serum run to remote Nome, Alaska, delivering life-saving diphtheria antitoxin through treacherous conditions. His bravery saved countless lives and made him a symbol of endurance, commemorated with a statue in Central Park.

Balto's legacy aligns with ANI.ML Health's mission to provide veterinary teams with expert medical support regardless of their location or access to specialty referral facilities, and so we decided to name this offering after him.
